Do you often dream about waking up to gorgeously refreshed, radiant looking skin? Well, you are not alone as I too used to dream about this very thing, that was until I discovered these radiance-inducing gems – both of which are great for us busy lots, who quite frankly don’t get enough sleep as we would like.Ren’s Wake Wonderful Night-Time Facial (40ml- £32) – Designed to promote a more even, luminous complexion this overnight mask is something of a miracle worker – especially when it come to dull, lackluster (read: tried) skin. Comprising of a clever 3-phase system this one of a kind mask not only quickly and effectively gets to work gently exfoliating your skin with a gorgeous blend of fruit-derived lactic and glycolic acids, but it also thanks to the inspired additions of magnesium, omega 3 and sodium lactate (derived from yeast) gets to work at gently raising the pH level of your skin, thus allow for some serious hydration and revitalisation. Best of all the results are instant; upon waking the next morning I always without fail see a significant difference in my complexion. My skin is softer, clearer and noticeably more radiant – so radiant in fact nobody can ever tell when I am barely surviving on just 4 hours of sleep.
To Note: You may experience a slight tingling sensation on application – this is totally normal.
How To Use: At night, as and when you need it apply 2-3 pumps onto your clean face, neck and décolleté (avoiding the delicate eye area). If you choose to use with other products, apply after your serum but before your moisturiser / night cream.
Clinique’s Pep-Start Eye Cream (15ml – £22) – Designed to make your eyes look awake and refreshed in a matter of seconds this dinky little guy is best described as a good nights rest in a tube. Featuring and incredibly lightweight consistency this emollient rich cream glides effortlessly around your eyes to leave them instantly feeling not only significantly more hydrated and plumped, but also a lot more awake thanks to its subtle brightening and de-puffing effect. Ingredients wise you may be pleased to learn that Clinique’s Pep-Start Eye Cream contains peptides to help support and protect your natural collagen reserves that unfortunately can be threatened not only by age but also by stress, fatigue and all round lack of sleep – aka the tell-tale signs of a busy modern-day life. All in all, Clinique are on to a real winner with this one.
To Note: This fragrance and oil-free formula works under and over makeup.
How To Use: AM / PM pop the ball tip up with your thumb, gently squeeze a small amount of the product onto the applicator tip and close the tip by pushing it back down, you can then swipe the ball in circular motions around the eye area (including the lids) as Clinique instructs or like me you can also pop the cream onto your ring fingers and then gently massage it in until absorbed.
